TIPS Alcohol Training Online for Graduates and the Public
The Cleveland Bartending School has trained thousands of bartenders in the Greater Cleveland area. Our school now requires all of our graduates to successfully complete the TIPS alcohol training program either in a classroom setting or through the online version offered on this page. TIPS stands for Training and Intervention Procedures for Servers of alcohol and is the leading responsible alcohol program with over 4 million people trained in all 50 states and 40 countries.
Cleveland Bartending School requires our graduates to have it and area restaurants, bars, night clubs and special events expect their staff to have this certification. This proven program teaches the skills to prevent; intoxication, underage drinking and drunk driving. All of which could become YOUR responsibility legally!

Although responsible alcohol training is not mandated by the state of Ohio many Ohio Insurance companies have made certification mandatory for the bars, restaurants and hotels to purchase liquor liability insurance. The TIPS Alcohol Training Online version is accepted statewide for use in Ohio as well as over 35 additional states.
Wherever your new career as a Bartender takes you, you will be expected to practice responsible alcohol service. Good customer service includes managing the crowd while insuring everyone is enjoying themselves.
Training for Intervention Procedures gives you the knowledge to recognize standards for reasonable behavior, assess a guest’s level of intoxication, the proper procedure for checking ID’s and how to handle the difficult situation of an intoxicated guest. Your efforts to gain this training and implementing it in your daily service of the public also shows your “due diligence” in the event of a legal action.
